Heather’s Original Heat Shield Car Sunshade

Today there are all different designs and decorations of those sun screens you up on your car’s windshield when you park in the sun – maybe it’s to prevent interior/dashboard damage, but more likely you do it to keep your car cooler for when you get back to it. It seems like an obvious thing to have, but before the 1980s it was airplane and helicopter pilots who concerned themselves with keeping their cockpits cooler and protected, not car drivers – until Heather Perlitch decided to apply Aircraft Covers Inc. aircraft cover technology to car windshields. The idea sparked a mini industry, and now the company also makes heat shields for car rear and side windows.

The advantage Heather’s Original Heat Shields have over others is they are custom made for your car model, and they are made in the USA – manufactured in Morgan Hill, California. And for the RV driver, they make shields for most motorhome models, too.
